Drilling Fluids Testing
An automated rheometer for the low shear end, where a fluid either suspends solids or does not.
The RheoVADR is a variable automated digital rheometer. Instead of six fixed dial speeds it sweeps a programmed range of shear rates and records the response, so a full flow curve replaces a handful of points, and the test runs the same way whoever starts it.
Where it earns its place is the very low shear region. Hole cleaning and barite sag are decided by how a fluid behaves when it is barely moving, and that is exactly where a six speed reading is thinnest. The output is a data file rather than a dial reading, so a result can be reviewed afterwards instead of taken on trust.
- What it measures
- Shear stress across a programmed shear rate range, including very low rates
- How it works
- Automated digital rheometer with programmable test sequences
