Drilling Fluids Testing
The wear parts and the alternative geometries that keep a Model 35 in service.
A viscometer is a mechanical instrument and its working parts wear. Rotor sleeves and bobs get scored, torsion springs fatigue, thermocups and sample cups crack. A tired part is worse than a missing one, because the reading it gives still looks plausible.
The accessory range also changes what the instrument can do. A different spring factor opens up low shear stress work, and alternative bob and sleeve combinations suit samples outside the standard range. We hold the parts that fail most often and fit them here.
- What it measures
- Nothing on its own; it restores or extends what the viscometer measures
- How it works
- Rotor sleeves, bobs, torsion springs, thermocups and sample cups
- Where it is used
- Keeping an existing Model 35 inside calibration
