RP-Bentonite is a clay powder that boasts high reactivity and surface area, making it an ideal material for enhancing the cohesive strength of ceramics.
Its mechanical properties provide excellent plasticity, improved molding, and greater stability to raw pastes, as compared to ball clay.
RP-Bentonite in ceramic production can lead to stronger adhesion between glaze and support, when added in small amounts below 3%. This material also enhances the green strength of ceramic bodies and glazes, resulting in better dry strength, surface hardness, and durability.
The use of RP-Bentonite as a plasticizer reduces the occurrence of gaseous bubbles during production.
